The man asked if my address was correct, he repeated it and told me that he had to validate it and would take only 2 minutes. (In his dreams!) I asked why he had my details, I wasn t willing to give him any more details - then I put the phone down. 2 min later another stupid from the same group rang-before he could say Hello I had put the phone down.

I received a call today from this number. They knew my name and told me they were ringing about my computer and that someone had tried to hack into it twice. I responded by saying no one tried to hack into my computer and how did you get this number and they hung up. Had a call from this number about 20 minutes ago saying HMRC has a case against me and to press 1 to speak to my case officer. Pressed 1 and the line was noisy so said hello but no response. HMRC does not ring to speak to private individuals. It does not operate that way. Shame on whoever is doing that
