I ve had three calls today from 02088523462 five yesterday, every time trying to convince me that they are "Microsoft technical" that my computer is "sending them errors". I know this is bs and decided today to have a nice long conversation with them about my background in networks engineering and how I know it is bs, but I understand that the guy on the other line is only doing his job and reading a script and that if he doesn t get abusive with me we should be able to resolve this. I got an automated call from this numer telling me I was accused of tax fraud and if I didn't press 1, a warrant would be issued and I would e arrested shortly. I think we can safely say this is a scam.
Autobot pretending to BT customer assistance. With the usual that your line has been compromised and press 1 to speak to representative. They then will take over your PC and will harvest all you personal data from you in fake ID check questions. Just ignore.

Indian sounding female. Said she was calling from London IT support. She wanted to "help" me fix my PC. I played along for a minute just to let her think she had me, then i told her to F Off and to get an honest job. She hung up. Disgusting practice, she should be in prison along with her bosses.

I received one of these calls on my answer machine and phoned them back when I had checked google out. It does sound like a genuine Nat West survey and although I do not have an account with them some of my family do. I carried on to the first question and it wanted to know how long I was queuing on my last visit to Nat West. I then hung up as I don t know the answer. I believe this is probably because either my son or daughter has visited a branch recently.
