Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. Similar numbers are reported as a telemarketing - sometimes energy companies. Did someone answer any number of this range? Is there any reason why companies use line with shared costs for just ringing you and left no message (other than scam...)? If this was a silent call for you, do not call back for any reason! Probably I am wrong with this one but started

Claims that my computer has picked up a virus and wanted me to log on to a website so they could show me the problem and how to rectify it......as if I would. When challenged how my number was matched to my online activity they just hung up.
Calls me pretty much every day; Had a spare 5 minutes to waste so decided to pick up. Somehow aquired my number and are telling me about an accident within the last 2 1/2 years; when pressed, had no idea about what accident or any details of it - Managed to waste 4 minutes and 6 seconds of theirs and my time.

This number has rung a few times but now gets intercepted by our BT Call Blocker phone. (There is a momentary beep, then a pause whilst the caller is asked by an automated message to state their name which is then recorded. If they do this the phone then rings and the system plays back the caller s name and we have the option to accept, reject or permanently block the caller).
