This company called today regarding PPI. Said they had sent an info pack to my home - the address was one I lived at over 10 years ago! I told them I wasn t interested and hung up. He called straight back and again I told him no and hung up. He called again and this time I asked for the manager, someone else came on the line and was very rude and insulting! Definitely a criminal enterprise. Rang me telling me I should claim the money set aside for me after a crash that they somehow knew I had been in. Very cleverly the got personal details from me including my address, date of birth and national insurance number. They pretend to put you through to a solicitor whilst keeping you on hold for a while... Very well thought out criminal enterprise.. After a couple of days they confirm that you can have the money.. They keep calling me but don t answer as I don t know he number by they ring me at least 5 times a day, harassment!

I answered today and said the same thing - so checked what information they had on my address etc, and have the correct address, have asked for the information, and will check it out when I receive it. I asked where they had obtained my information from and he said from an online form I had completed, and as I have recently, this would seem feasible, as the databases are available to purchase in the telemarketing world.
