Fraud. South Asian female voice, with sounds of a call centre in the background. Could be heard talking to a colleague and mumbled something, then disconnected call.
When I stopped the call and tried using 1471, the tape was still running and over ran the call I was trying to make.
This is a suspected nuisance call. On picking up there was a recorded message asking for verification details. I immediately put the phone down. I have had a couple of calls from another Bridgend number in the last few weeks. 01656 723940 seems to belongs to a Mr Steven Walters of Dennis Place, Bryncethin, Bridgend. If so he needs to know it is illegal to call anyone who is TPS registered.

Called my call centre claiming to be open reach(BT) network in area needs to discuss. When I called them back did not want to say why they were calling and did not announce who they were. BT would have done. Once pressed for details they hung up so I d say they are scammers and not to be trusted. But that is just my view.

I stated no and was placed to a oversees call centre claiming to be from the Halifax. I stopped the call and told him I will call Halifax direct. I was very sick and I had my phone in do not disturb. I checked it later on in the evening and I had 11 missed calls from them!!!! No message left. I called back and i was diverted to answer phone. I wouldn t answer this call. It s very unprofessional to call that many times! If you call once leave a damn message and let the person get back to you!
She rang to say we filled out a survey at the good food show and that we have won a holiday to florida, the only thing was that we had to pay for flights. She gave no details as to how we were going to receive the prize, but was insistent that we go this Wednesday, but we said no, then she said the weekend then? Michael (Indian accent) giving address as Ealing Avenue in Manchester. Claimed to be legal adviser for financial services company. When asked for the company registration number he asked if I wanted to buy the company and hung up.
Caller hung up immediately after I accepted the call. Maybe a robot to detect phone numbers in use ?
