recieved a call from HSBC today. somethin about upgrading the "ordinary" account to "premium". well, I don t like being cold called so I hang up. a day later I phoned HSBC. they told I hadn t been called. so..... question... are the guys at HSBC liars or, and more likely, this call had the sole purpose of aquiring account details and so on, aka phishing.

The company are legit BUT beware the 'free' government funding claim - it is funded, but, from your adult learning grant which is means tested, they need all your income details etc and a £125 fee if you do not complete the course.

SCAM Caller said they were from Amazon and that I would have a high payment charged monthly (£79.99) unless cancelled and the caller was going to "help me" cancel my Amazon Prime subscription. After some arguing (as she tried to get me to stay on the line), I hung up and checked Amazon website going through their online chatbot. This Telephone Number called to say that my Amazon Prime Account was being cancelled. Since I don't subscribe to Amazon I suspect the return call number was a premium rate number. was suppressed me is that it is very local and linked to M&S telephone number which must have been hacked.
This number called on both mobile and landline. Didn't answer, no message left from the caller either!! Suspicious.
