Called a few times, I picked up on the 3rd time because I've never had a strange number call so much. Said they were from my provider and wanted to thank me for my loyalty but also wanted me to confirm several details about myself so he could tell me about some special offers. I saw no reason to answer him as I didn't want a new phone, nor was I sure he was even legitimate.

I called Barclays on 03457 345 345 only to be told this numbers has switched to 0345 600 45 40. I called this number and followed the exact same instructions that you would normally be asked only something didn't feel quite right about it. I called back the 03457 345 345 number which worked this this time and spoke to a gentleman on the Fraud team who advised me this was not one of their numbers and this was most definitely a fraud attempt. Did not answer (standard practice for these London numbers not in his directory ED.), no message left, came here, found I was not alone, so going to block. Just tried to block and it came up with "invalid number", so filed it to my directory as "Ignore".
