Their dialling code is Tarporley, Cheshire though. eBay HQ is based in Richmond. Anyway it seemed like a scam and he hung up when I asked more questions

Just got a call from this number - automated voice said there's a problem with my National Insurance number and there has been potential fraudulent activity relating to my National Insurance number. Then said press 1 to speak to an agent. I hung up. Definitely a SCAM.
