Holiday sickness company guessing with no knowledge about you .. hassle call

Received a call, foreign voice said ringing about accident I d had. They managed to get my name, address and accident details and sent me an email which they wanted me to open and click on the attachment to provide authority for them to send out documents for me to claim compensation. I told them I didn t need to claim compensation as only very minor whip lash, however they were very insistent saying that didn t matter and I was entitled to £3000 compensation. He said company was resolution uk. Told them they had rung before from a different number 02387771111. Called me a liar and put phone down.

Text message claiming to be Royal Mail. Parcel being held at depot due to underpaid postage. Wanting payment or parcel would be returned to sender.

Lady called stating I had a recent car accident blah. Asked her how she got my number. She stated they got it from the Road Traffic Accident Claim Department. I said I d never heard of it. Was it a Government department. Long silent pauses at the other end. Repeatedly asked her to spell the name of her company. She rang off. Surprise surprise. Funnily enough I had been speaking to my insurance company (Covea) only 30 mins before asking how these scumbags get my mobile number. They don t know!

Don’t waste your breath talking to these people. Put the phone down on them immediately or if you are so minded, just tell them to **** off . . . they’ll get the idea.

Phoned out blue, saying following up a previous enquiry I’d made once about investments. Said not a sales call but called themselves ?BT Marketing? I’m currently looki at investments. So let the call run. Pleasant polite lady. Asked if they could pass my details onto a tech investment firm, to send me more info. I felt extra info may be useful, so gave permission. However, contact info they had for me was a very old email address. She reassured me they would not pass my details to anyone else. (We’ll see).
