18 Oct 2021 - cheeky git tried threatening me with court . Claiming was calling from HMRC and i owed tax. Asked him to confirm when its for and turns out it was 2020, well i, along with a lot of the population was on furlough. I ve been getting several calls a day not just from this number, but from others, too - or sometimes they come up as "unavailable" or "international". All of them are from people with an Indian accent saying that they are calling to fix a problem with my PC and quickly become very rude when questioned. Phone scam call - tells you they are from BT/ Ofcom and your broadband is being hacked from someone in Mountain View California. Gets you to lookup "1p address" on google to "prove" this (which is nonsense). Then to access deskroll.com so he can remote access your computer. I led him on a bit to find out what would happen, then told him what i thought of him... so he swore at me and put the phone down! lol
Weird one, I got a sales call from a Liverpool number to my mobile who seemed just as confused as I was as they swore they actually dialled this number (01517060251). Have absolutely no idea which part of it is a scam. It's definitely weird. Googled the number and nothing came up.

TAXES / HMRC Robocall allegedly from HMRC saying that they are about to take legal action against you and press one, leave your details to prevent legal action being taken. No human interaction whatsoever. When you try to call it back ( from a withheld number you get an immediate divert saying sorry calls can't be taken at this time or an unobtainable tone.
