SCAM / SPAM I was called and asked if I was interested in online stocks. When I told him twice I was not interested he became abusive and started telling me to fuck off he had other customers waiting to make money and to stop wasting his time. The exact number was 01340 831714. After searching it here, I called the number back. It has a BT call screener on it. A Scottish sounding older lady picked up the phone. I told her my name and said I'd had a missed call from her number at 7:47am this morning (3-3-23). Her reply? "No, not me, no you haven't" and then she put the phone down. With a call that early in the morning, I thought my son had been in a car accident or something :-(. Very unhelpful and distressing. No idea what's been going

Fraud - automated message saying there is a criminal case registered against me, I hung up at that point.
I get calls on this number supposedly from Assured Protection when I answer the call it is silent for a moment and then I hear a message that the call is from Assured Protection and that no call handlers are available to take "your" call. Using the word "your" call is making it seem that the person being called has called them when in fact it is these clowns who are making the calls, obviously using some call handling software randomly dialing phone numbers.

I just had a call from this number too, claiming to be "D M Experts". The person he asked to speak to, Ben , does not exist on my number or at my address and I have been plagued with calls lately from some company claiming to be something to do with the Office of Fair Trading, who also always asks for Ben , but they have the sense to block their number.
