He claimed people were hacking into my computer while on Internet and wanted me to download some software to fix the problem. At the same time I was Googling for the scam and found plenty of details about the Supremo software he wanted me to install. When confronted he refused to admit that I was being scammed - so I asked him to send me an E-Mail from a reputable Microsoft address - which has not arrived,

This may well be the same ones dialling people again from a Liverpool number (0151 code), but using/giving out our name direct legal services ltd instead. This is false and delierately misleading. Direct Legal Services Ltd (based in Blackpool), are a genuine law practice, and not in any way connected with those scammers. Action is being taken to hunt them down

The caller gets the recipient to perform some tasks on their PC, claiming that it is infected. If you ask for their number, they provide this one. If you call them back you are diverted to the caller in the Gold Coast. Do not call. Do not respond. Report this to the police.
