BT Call Guardian took care of it as the spammers/scammers will never bother to 'announce' themselves... they can't when they're using autodiallers to try and connect to as many number as possible. This is a scam. They claim to be calling from DHL about an unpaid import duty charge but they haven’t even got the right amount! I’d already had an email from DHL a few days earlier. Didn’t ask for payment over the phone but sent an email. What bothers me is that they had my home phone number, my email address (the payment link was in a very poorly constructed fake email from ‘George Spofforth’) & the DHL waybill number. Serious data breach going on here.

Had a phone call from 01223 931700 From Amazon but didn't like the content so contacted Amazon they said it was not them and they do not contact you by phone. So must be a scam!
Not sure what this was about. I answered and it went silent then someone said hello, knew my email address. Something about a transfer payment being stuck and verifying my data in regards to ID fraud. I had an echo on the line, couldn't hear properly. Caller had strong accent, possibly French. Asked them to call back in 20 mins by which time I would be home and hopefully no echo. They didn't call back. Potentially a scam call in itself? Call center

Call center; Housing maintenance. unsolicited call looking for cases where Lamprey Lawyers can claim damages and legal fees from housing associations.
Said they were from BT and phoning about my Internet. When I said I didn't have Internet with them they called me a 'funking liar'.
This number has rang me 4 times in 2 weeks, supposedly sky technical department, sayingmyinternet is running slow & they will help me to put it right, it’s a scam of some sort,as once I refuse to do what they want me to do, they immediately hang up

Absolute scam. Claimed to be from OpenReach told me they would switch the internet off for 72 hours as our IP address was public and it was a GDPR issue. When I told them to make our IP address private as they actually own the internet, they told me they couldn't. I had to run a software on my laptop to do it. Literally do not do anything they say!
