There are some dodgy people going around London fixing stickers to peoples doorbells and front doors that say "24/7 LOCKSMITH 07379 253 353". There have been news reports that these type of stickers are used by criminals to identify which properties can later be burgled. This may or may not be the case with these stickers but any locksmith that advertises by sticking stickers on other peoples property without permission, are untrustworthy in my book. Called my workplace and asked to speak to someone regarding our meter reading, claiming to be from British Gas. Handed them to relevant person, they then asked the relevant person to send across details of our meter (i.e. meter number) luckily relevant person had spoken to legitimate british gas over email and had already sorted this out. Relevant person came back to me and said that it was a fraudulent call and they were attempting to get our meter details. FRAUD!!
