Automated voice call asking if you have been involved in a recent car accident. Then you get put through. I asked for my number to be removed from their database, the chap said "Yes I could do that, but I'm not going to" then said something abusive and hung up

This number should be a landline from Manchester - I haven't found any ratings for this number somewhere else on internet resources, which should be a good sign... Does someone have some experience with this one? Was trying also different formats of this number, but no luck. Has rung 3 or times a day for several days. Initially I refused to answer as it was an unknown number and never left a message. Then one brief message was left, merely asking for my name but not announcing who was calling, so I have answered twice since, thrash it out with them and get them to leave me alone but each time it has been total silence.
