Asian person saying will only take a minute just wanted to ask a few questions. normally i just hang up but for some reason i didnt. asked me what my brand of tv is, how much i spend on holidays, who my electricty is with, my income bracket where i would go on holiday. dont think they are con artist, just gathering data so more companies can send you spam...should have hung up! waste of 2 minutes

Do not answer their "security questions". It could be a scammer, who will happily sell your information on. Like any other debt collection agency, everything should be in WRITING.

This is a genuine number from santander fraud team. I was suspicious of the number so I rang it and explained I felt it was a scam and the advisor told me to ring the number on the back of my card which I did. And the fraud team confirmed that the text message was genuine and was from santander.

Some unpleasant man rang and has left me a threatening message saying he will not go away and will keep calling me. I suspect this call relates to an old car accident and a desire to either harrass me because I would not follow through with a claim, which I felt was dishonest, or that my number has been sold on. He thinks it helps to call me by my first name. The guy is a creep. If I could report to the police I would.

Keeps calling everyday at 6.00 pm, I have not given my number out, have now blocked as this is really annoying.
Answered this call and was met with a dialling tone ... Googling the number showed it to be linked to "Ambulance Chasers". They won t get a chance to call again as I ve blocked it on my iPhone. I have been inundated with calls in the last week from different numbers, but don t know why as I HAVEN T had an accident! Hopefully the law will be changed soon to bin these nuisance calls.
Also had letter asking for money from HMRC from 6 years ago. Dont know why??? Getting advice on this.
