Internet Someone called allegedly from BT to say my internet was slow. I said “goodbye” and put the phone down
It was a voice mail telling me my internet provider would cut off my internet in the next 24 hours and to speak to someone press 1. I thought this to be a scam so put the phone down.
Claiming they call from HMRC with a court case against your name. After started asking questions about some proof they work for HMRC, they started panicking and said I can look up the case on the website of UK's Supreme Court. Plot twist - there is no Supreme Court in the UK.
No idea who called, they immediately hung up.
Text Message reads, 'my mobile has disappeared dad'. Number not known to me. Message not for me. Possible scam/spam.
I'm pretty sure that this is a scam number. It's number called me and told me that there had been a fraudulent charge on my visa number and asked me to dial 1. The number did not ask for my name. The number did not give me any digits from my account numbers. I don't hold a visa card. I did not press one. I hung up immediately. Obvious scam beware!

Michael from Curry's PC World, telling me about a wonderful limited time deal. DIdn't let him go any further asked how he got my number as I'm not a customer and haven't requested any telemarking calls. He said my network provider had given it to them and named them. Threw me a bit as it was my provider. I asked if he had my name then, he said he didn't know it, so they obviously have obtained a list from somewhere. I hung up at that point.

Call from a SCAM gardening & landscaping firm (Tree & Landscaping Services) who send round a team (family members) who will not go away until paid large sums of money. My mother paid them over £600 for about an hour with a chainsaw cutting down healthy trees. They demanded payment in cash & took her to a bank to collect that.
