SCAM this was an automated message saying I was wanted for HMRC fraud. This is utter bollox. Apart from it not being true, HMRC would not contact me like this either. Avoid this number immediately. Now blocked.

This number rang with an automated message saying it was the bank and there had been unusual activity on the account with two large transactions!
No idea who this was. Landline number from Nottingham but didn't leave a message and didn't phone back.

The caller was an Indian man who knew my name, but refused to tell me his name or which company he is calling on behalf of. He hung up after I told him I will take legal action against unsolicited and junk calls.

Received this call today. It came approximately 30 minutes after a call from a Cambridge number 01223 931995. The Cambridge number went dead on answering. The 01330 563426 number allowed me to answer, and an automated message said it was the HMRC and that I would be fined. You could press 1 to talk to an agent. I hung up. You cannot ring back. Said from Three mobile but refused to use my name or passphrase. Obviously a scammer because he kept talking over the top of me even when I told him that genuine callers treat customers with respect!

Likely scam. They rang me. I picked up but didn't say anything into the phone. They didn't say anything either and then hung up. I always answer in this way when I receive an unexpected phone call from an unfamiliar number. Legitimate callers always say "hello" and try to get a response. Scammers hang up. It happens every time!
