SCAM / SPAM This must be a scammer as I had to go to voicemail to find out who it was and it is someone claiming to be from HMRC and asking me to press number keys for more information. This would most likely divert me to another number and leave me open to some kind of fraud. Number now blocked. If it really is HMRC they have my address and email address.

He asked "Are you disabled",replied "what a thing to ask"! said "I m in a meeting, not free at the moment" "What meeting". With that I got fed up with playing along and rang off.

They claimed they were HMRC and the police were coming to get me for not paying tax ? 1) They didn't know my name 2) Whether it was HMRC / Tax Office / whoever really, they would send a letter (not an email) to you not phone you ! It's a nasty SCAM meant to panic you, these people should be locked up!

Fraud SCAM Called me pretending to be from Amazon saying that someone had ordered an iPhone on my account. They then managed to trigger the Amazon reset password text message and pressured me to give me that code to them, presumably so that they could take control of my Amazon account. A sales person from a financial company saying I had shown interest in an investment. When I asked her to repeat the company name, she hung up.
Long pause before anyone spoke, so I hung up. I suspect this might have been a call centre/spam/scam, but as I didn't speak to anyone I can't be sure.
