Caller said she was in nearby Devon city and was calling about a car accident. Told her I don t have a car and she hung up. Did 1471 and this London number came up.
Caller claimed to be from BT. From such a professional organisation, I would expect the caller to identify themselves personally, such as 'hello my name is abc, from BT, etc. So I assumed it to be a scammer either trying to either sell me something or obtain personal information about me. I'd also expect the 'phone number to come up in google search. Told caller to 'bogoff'.

Very crackly line with an automated voice - the only bits I could make out was that they had some information about me and if I didn't press 1, I would be arrested. Possibly a scam for personal details.
I was called by this number just now and the very rude man swore and called me lots of names and said he would do horrid things to me when are asked why he was calling, this number needs to be reported to the police.

A woman with a West African accent phoned me at 4.30 pm on 12th July 2012. She asked me how my "claim" was progressing and whether she could help. Obviously a telemarketing call because there was the usual buzz of conversation in the background. Have had a number of messages left by Dee, supposedly to do with HMRC. Returned call to see what it was about, the person i spoke to asked a lot of questions about HMRC and supplier debt, as well as our turnover. Obviously didn t give them any information! All sounded a bit suspicious!
