Thought it was strange as it felt fishy. Phoned Domestic and General who said it wasn't them so now we are covered by two companies. Now trying to get some money back from Domestic Assure. Shouldn't have given bank details but they knew about our machine so convincing.

I just spoke to BT - evidently this is an international company beyond the reach of TPS, using the 01603 290004 number as a dummy call ID to mask the fact it is an international call so that it doesn t appear as International on lines with Caller ID. Is generally believed to be a scam aiming to get access to bank account details for the purposes of defrauding. Nothing BT or TPS can do - Government are the only ones with the power to stop these types of calls.
