Called about a traffic accident within "the last few years". When I asked for the registration no of the vehicle concerned the caller hung up!

This number keeps calling me to ask for a previous owner. Every time they call they say they have never called before. I have asked to be removed from their list but they refuse and their call operators are very rude. Has anyone else had a similar thing from this number and do you know which company they are from?

This number calls me two or three times at about 10 minutes intervals. It never leaves a message. It also seems to be associated with another number 07482876440 which calls with the same pattern. Clearly these numbers are from someone who knows that I do not want to speak to them. Otherwise they would leave their details.

I received a call from this number just now. He said he was from a company called Technical Help Service and told me my computer had a virus. He tried to convince me using various methods including running the eventvwr (the errors listed there are not related to viruses!) This is identical to the well known Windows Technical Helpdesk scam. This phone number (01202403707) is from a representative (called Chris) of HomeLogic, a company that sells and installs LogicFoam loft insulation. It is quite safe and is not a scam. It's a cold call that tries to persuade you to install this type of loft insulation i.e. spray foam. The caller said that it's part of a Government initiative to supply every home in Britain with this type of insulation. However, I don't believe this - I suspect that this is just salesman's patter.

Scam they say they are from your bank and there is a problem with your account, they ask you to press 1 and you are put through to another person who asks you for your bank details

Said he was calling from the city and wanted to make sure I was covered when the recession hits. I am surprised I allowed him to divulge this bunch of cow droppings as I usually hang up before the end of the sentence :-)

This company sends you text messages saying you are owed an amount in thousands due to payment protection mis-selling. If you reply you get a voice mail saying ring this number. When you do you ll find the amount claimed to be due to you is non-existent. It s just a ploy to get you there.
