Market research They called AGAIN today - 10th Jan 2013 This is a guy that phones on a regular basis, with kids screaming in the background, and a television blaring at the same time. In his south scottish accent, he tries to calmly spurt out the "hello, I m so and so and doing some market research". By this time, I ve hung up.
Scam line. Calls are made from outside of the UK (Gold Coast), trying to get recipients to visit a scam website. The caller gets the recipient to perform some tasks on their PC, claiming that it is infected. If you ask for their number, they provide this one. If you call them back you are diverted to the caller in the Gold Coast. Do not call. Do not respond. Report this to the police.

Wanted me to log on to my PC while she talked me through a procedure to find out who is trying to hack my internet. Told her I already knew who was trying to do that and that IT WAS HER! She seemed confused but got the message after a while. I purposely kept the conversation going for a while, for my own amusement and also to inconvenience her.
