An Asian sounding woman claimed she was from BT and was she speaking to the person who pays the bills etc. I said no, but my husband would be home at 6.30pm so call back. The woman immediately said that it was important information she had that our computer has been hacked and this could be dangerous. I said no thanks and put the phone down. Considering I don't have a computer I can only assume this was a dangerous scam for others to watch out for.
So fed up of these nuisance calls.

This time I called the number back to see who it was; got a recorded voice telling me I'd reached lotto direct and to please hold while they transfer me to agent. Same as previous comments, professed to be with BT Openreach and engineer had identified problem with our BT broadband, told him that BT are not our supplier and we had signed up for TPS, asked him not to call again.

Got the same call today from an Indian woman called "Jennifer Janet" (like f*ck)stating I had viruses. She would fix them and also upgrade my internet service! (ha ha). I played along with her until she asked me to press certain buttons on my keyboard. I pretended to do so, and when she asked "what message is displayed", that is when I tore into her calling her a scamming Indian ****** and to f*ck off! she hung up! (boo hoo) People, don t be afraid to rip into these scammers, be as nasty as you want, swear
