This number called my son yesterday and today; he's only 18 and new to all this so yesterday he brought the phone down to me to talk to them. As soon as I said "Can I help you" they hung up. Before that, they said they were O2, asked how he was, then asked if he was over 18 and in the UK. Now if they genuinely were O2, they would surely have the answers to those questions already. I was actually phoned by the number 01172948771 (but the internet can't find a number to match), but I was told I could call back on 01413679893. Claiming to be UK Energy Tariffs/Together Energy/Direct Energy - I got all three names in the course of a single phone call. Definitely trying to get my bank details off me, because apparently, I can't get this energy deal on their website, which they gave me as being ukenergytariffs.com but seems to be for South Africa if you look at the privacy statement.

I am contacted by this company three times a day and have tried every possible method to deter their calls but they are relentless. They try to get you to confirm your details and then pretend to know the expiry date on your credit card (year only) in an attempt to obtain your card details. Utterly dishonest scam from Indian call centre.
