Fake code gets past crude block apps
The company is called RTA Legal "Call today to make a claim...". They are not based in Kent, so why trick people to answer by using a false area code?? I just wish companies like these could be fined for making nuisance calls! Now added to block list.

01800248168 called today at 13:30 with a recorded voice telling me that I have problems with my Amazon account. This is the second call today, same message but different numbers. Needless to say, I have blocked both of these numbers. No doubt they will ring again on a different number.

I Received a call from this number twice today and when i was able to answer they introduced themselves as Consumer helpline, the lady on the call advised that i had overpaid for finance in 2011 and she wished to help me get this refunded however i have never taken anything out on finance. I asked to submit a subject access request under the Data Protection Act where she then passed me to her manager. SPAM Said they where from carphone warehouse and they had an offer for a iPhone trading for £40, when I said I didn't use iPhones he asked me what phone I used, I terminated the call after that because I could here he was calling from a call centre and he had a heavy Asian accent, he didn't know my name so everything about this call made me feel it wasn't safe to continue.
