Said they were from EE asking about how happy I am with my PAYG plan and handset and if they could improve it. Asked what handset I had and why I was content with my pack then let me go happily. Seems trustworthy and didn t ask for any other info.

Called from a local claiming to be calling from the UK but was from an international call centre when I asked what city they were based in, they hung up.

Asked for me by name, someone called "Max" saying could reduce rental of my landline by £14 a month, I asked who they were said a comparison site, I said not intereste...

Scammers. This is the "Washing Machine Department", "Is your Hotpoint working fine?" I do not have a Hotpoint. They immediately hung up

Call went to answering service - no message left

These are atelemarketing company selling will-writing and estate services. Nothing wrong with that but my mother-in-law is on the TPS. We called them and they promised to take her number off their list. You can always contact them on 0800 0194557 - dial the number without the first 0 from mobiles and it registers as a free call

I got a phone call from this number, as I did the 1471 to hear the number back. The man said his name was John and wanted to speak to my brother. He new his name and said he owed money and they wished to speak to him. My mother answered the call but wouldn t give up any details, but she kept asking them questions about who they were and why they were ringing. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION AWAY!! DO NOT ANSWER THEIR QUESTIONS!

This number called me at 7am this morning. The area code is Maidenhead, Berkshire. I answered the phone and they hung up.
