Dropped what I was doing & raced downstairs to answer persistent call. Man with an unidentifiable accent garbled something against a cacophony of background noise sounding like the Call Centre from Hell. I asked him to repeat his sentence. He said " can I speak to the owner of the business?" Puzzled, I said " business?" At which point he rudely disconnected the call. No idea why he was asking about a business owner or why he decided not to tell me, or why he had decided on one word that the call wasn t wort

someone telling me that my internet service will be disconnected because it has been used inappropriately and hacked. Guy was very persistent and didn't make any real sense

They called from 01422286880 saying i had been in an accident in April. Didnt know where or what time. Big scam.....not sure what for though. Or just a prank call making some sicko happy

Got a call from this number on my mobile. Said I d been in an accident. No I haven t. I reckon they just dial numbers at random. I say this because only my family know my mobile number and I won t give it out to ANYONE else. They didn t even know my name or where I was from or where the accident happened or what car I was supposed to have been driving or what time of day or the date it was supposed to have happened. This number has been calling my landline approx. 7-8 times a day for the past 5 days. I always check 0844 numbers before I answer, so I have been ignoring this once I saw the negative comments left on this site. How can I stop them calling altogether?
