I've been receiving lots of calls to my business mobile starting 0843. All of them without exception disconnect after around 3 rings. No doubt to get you to call back - so I suspect this is a scam, even though I'm the first to comment on this number here.

Call centre call. Company claimed to be Global Marketing something. She proceeded to call me Mr William (my first name) and said they had done a search on me and found that I had been scammed (untrue) (my new isp did a search on me last week and found no trace of me online) She asked me to tell her what happened. SCAM First of all said they were from Windows, wanted me to turn on my computer so they could stop the hackers who had been trying to get my personal information. They said if I didn't turn on the computer now they would block everything, stop it from working and the hackers would use my information to get access to my accounts. When I asked them to speak to someone in the house who works in IT security they rang off quickly.

This was an automated call about a charge for Amazon Prime membership that had expired. I don't currently have an Amazon Prime membership, so this was almost certainly a scam call.

73p access charge an 7p. A short ring received and stop so knew it was a scam, but trying to delete from my missed calls, my phone dialled the number and I ended the call but not quick enough, so charged. Obviously a scam to may you call back a premium number and make money from their charges.

Claimed to be from Vodafone. Said a SIM swap had been requested and wanted to check this was correct. I said it was not correct. He then said he suspected my account had been hacked and that he would sent an SMS with a code which I had to read to him. The SMS came from Vodafone and had a code with text reading 'this code gives access to your account, do not share it'. The caller was a scammer and wanted access to my account. I hung up.
