SCAM Message popped up on my laptop stating that it was in danger of being hacked and had been temporarily blocked. The error message suggested I called a helpline (number stated 020) said to be Microsoft Security. I rang, lady answered (Indian/pakistan accent) lots of noise in the background, she wanted me to depress the windows and the letter R key on my laptop. was evasive when I asked what would happen. This is the latest spoof number in the "Carphone Warehouse" scam - they aren't Carphone Warehouse but a bunch of crooks after your bank details.

SCAM. I think this is a scam it was sent to me on a text per porting to come from one of my sons - it seems to be sent from Manchester and my son is somewhere not even in Uk.

Claimed to be from Carphone Warehouse. Told them I have no car and no phone and hung up.

I doubt a caller from Russia would be legitimately calling me, any half-witted scammer would mask their number if calling from such a terrorist state, so I suspect that it was supposed to be a masked UK mobile number with too many digits. Whatever, it is an unwelcome call.

Was rung by this number - automatic voice message regarding my supposed visa account having no money in it, £95 aparantly taken. Cut off the call. Checked banking - no such issue. Scam call. Hard as its a local number so elderly when seeing number would possibly assume local bank.

SPAM A guy with a scouse accent, called up saying he was from Fleetpoint Magazine, sounded very odd, almost intoxicated. Was pressing for information about company vehicles but seemed very against actually explaining WHY he wanted that information. Some outfit calling itself 'HR Advisor'. Pretending to be some kind of authority on HR law, which they clearly aren't - it's just the usual data harvesting.

This caller was female told me she was from Microsoft. I kept repeating go awey go away, you are a scam. Still tried to talk me into listening, put the phone down. It was annoying to say the least, I think it was a scam.

Apparently it's "housing disrepairs" I have blocked around 20 of their phone numbers yet they still keep harassing me. They are nothing but scammers.

Claimed to be from Vodafone. Said a SIM swap had been requested and wanted to check this was correct. I said it was not correct. He then said he suspected my account had been hacked and that he would sent an SMS with a code which I had to read to him. The SMS came from Vodafone and had a code with text reading 'this code gives access to your account, do not share it'. The caller was a scammer and wanted access to my account. I hung up.
