usual pakistani,muslim sounding scammer claiming to be from solicitors. for some reason he didnt take too kindly to the barrage of verbal abuse from me and eventually took the hint after calling back 5 times in rapid succession for more of the same treatment. sometimes its just nice to be able to unload your abuse at someone who cant complain about you. :)

SCAM Asian sounding woman said she was from Virgin Media - they see problems with my broadband. I had the same call yesterday from a different number. They cannot prove they are from Virgin and try to get you to do the ASSOC command or similar so they can prove they know what they're doing.

SCAM This is a call centre saying it is a courtesy call due to an appliances warrantee expiring, on this instance it was a washing machine, so quite believable. They wanted £65 per year for another 3 years full cover. It sounded very genuine until she said that she wanted me to tell her the name and make of my appliance and i said that i was ok and didn't want to renew the warrantee as i'd had it for over 5 years, then they just hung up and the line went dead. Phishing call to my business mobile regarding fictitious RTA. Probably harvested my name and number from a business listing.
Fake BT Open Reach Indian call centre. "other IP addresses are using your internet connection". Want to connect to your PC (potential to raid personal data etc.). Rang off when I said I wanted to check they're not fraudsters.
Rang me at 5am! I rang back and it was a man who said the lines are now closed, didn’t say who they where though.
