Was woken up at 5.45 this morning by this caller. Didn t get to the phone and remained in bed tossing and turning wondering who it could be and if something had happened to a relative! Went to reverse the number and find out who called and it said this number. Reading from a few places it says it s a foreign man from national accident helpline. Should be illegal. Our number is ex-directory and we ve used TPS and this should not be possible!

SCAM/SPAM. I was called on the 26/08/20 by this number. The caller said they were from SKY (my TV, telephone and broadband provider). He informed me that he was ringing to test my modem and improve its performance. He asked me to type a few commands which included the word “SKY”. He then asked me to permit remote access. SCAM - well I hope it's a scam, it seemed to be a recorded message, claiming to be from HMRC and there was a warrant against my name (which was not given) and that I should press 1 immediately, otherwise I would be arrested shortly. Needles to say I did not press 1 and 3 hours later I am still a free man.... I believe it was a scam call that if I pressed 1 a virus would download to my phone. If my situation changes I will send an update. BEWARE.
