Called claiming to be from Talktalk saying I had been infected by a virus and wanting control of my computer. The same thing happened yesterday from a different 01234 number.

Oh dear I m not the only one. had £79.99 taken from my account today. I am unemployed at the moment and the promise of a £20.00 fuel voucher for answering a survey was very attractive. What can be done? has anyone managed to get their money back?

It s an Umbrella Payroll Company for Contractors. I checked out their website as I m unhappy with my current one, and saw the missed call from them (this number), promptly followed by a text message. Googled the missed call number, saw the text 1min later and out 2+2 together.

Cold call. Did not give them a chance to do anything but give their name.

Nuisance caller about home repairs ring constantly IE up to 19a day

No message left by this number. I dialled it back and it had one long ring tone as in U.S or Canadian calls. No one was answering there when I rang back.

Calls me every day. Girl called Hannah telling me I ve been in a car accident. I remind her that we had this conversation yesterday and that I don t drive. She acknowledges this but insists I have had an accident anyway! Same time tomorrow then Hannah ffs!!!!

When receiving calls from these shady characters, my family and friends try to waste as much of their time as possible. With some effort from everyone we can put an end to these immoral lawyer-rejects.

tried asking nicely to remove us from their list for months they ve recently persisted so i blocked their number in our system, they kept leaving voicemails instead... so finally today I have reported them to every authority going (including ofcom) and called them to inform them that if we receive any further communications from them, legal proceedings will begin immediately. i advise you report them to ofcom too - multiple reports about the same company will eventually work to get them shut down a

missed call when i rang it back line just goes beep then cuts off. Bad sign - trustworthy companies have a recorded message explaining who they are, etc. Did a bit of research - very worrying. consumer websites show people being asked for their bank card details then fees being debited that they werent expecting. Sounds like a scam or at least very, very sharp practise. Avoid answering or block number, is my advice.

These people claim to be from Sky and say they are reducing your sky protect premium. They are not, they are not endorsed by Sky and the service they are offering is extemely suspect, don t fall for their scam and tell them where to go!!

Recording says the call was made by British Telecom. Don?t know why they called me. I?m not a customer.

As a person who works in the It industry I can tell you that these people are not qualified to be "Microsoft certified technicians. They lack the knowledge and expertise. They are extremely persistent about these" hackers" and "viruses" when most of them probably don t exist in the first place. As the other guy said, play around with them. It s fun!
