I received an email from this same guy called Tony yesterday afternoon. I suspected the email straightaway. I called the number, went to a recorded advert, I quickly cut the call off after 1min 22secs. It is a scam!!!! Please beware of this guy and/or related tricks.

This number would appear to be à Plymouth number. However it is a recorded English voice about payments I have tried to make to Amazon and an International Money transfer.it is clearly a highly dangerous scam and similar to a call I had the other day from a different number with an American style voice. I got a text saying this number had tried to call me when I was next to the phone at the time and it hadn t rung at all. I don t trust it automatically. Also I was able to find this number online which means others also don t trust it. Therefore I don t trust it. Fed up with these sorts of calls.

Mine is much the same as previous comments but from 01617414000, in the end I put phone down as heard lots of clapping and cheering in background which I found very odd.

Fraud? Scam? Purports to be Amazon advising of possible fraud on account. Did not respond to requests to press 1 or 2 Rang the number back and got Sky 1571 response As the supposed amount was over £1000 I think this should come under the heading fraud. Did not respond or leave message.

Weird one, I got a sales call from a Liverpool number to my mobile who seemed just as confused as I was as they swore they actually dialled this number (01517060251). Have absolutely no idea which part of it is a scam. It's definitely weird. Googled the number and nothing came up.

This number calls regularly asking for Mrs McGee. Always a foreign sounding voice. I think they know it s not McGee but they want to engage you in conversation? I just hang up but it is so annoying. They must be trying to sell something I suppose.
