Common Scam -the A payment has been made on your credit card to a foreign country, they want you to press a number. This is a well known scam.

The caller was a man with a foreign accent. He started to tell me he was calling about my computer but I decided it was a scam, told him I wasn t interested, hung up and blocked the number. I do not generally answer numbers that I do not recognise but as it was 08.30, I thought it could be somthing important.
Asked for Christopher Warden, he hasn t lived in the address in the 25 years we have been here. On behalf of BT apparently. Geordie accent.

If you are unsure about whether it is real, please do yourself a favour and go onto the HMRC website and contact them using _ONLY_ the number on the official web page.
Following a search on GoCompare your details are passed to these guys who call offering a better quote and ask you to hold the line while they transfer you to another company who has no idea who you are. I guess they get kick backs for getting you there.
