Apparent unsolicited mortgage marketing call. They identified themselves as "Mortgage Review". Refused to answer my questions about who they were and what they wanted and why they had called, insisting I should identify myself first. They then tried to get me to put my wife on the line, becoming more and more irate. I would expect legitimate callers to identify themselves and their business before demanding information.

Received malicious phone calls several times with the same message. Recorded message saying phone and internet will be disconnected tomorrow as our IP address has been used to hack a government website (because thats believable). It said if we don't call an 0161 number (i didn't even bother getting the rest) our internet and phone line would be cut off despite saying the exact same thing the day before and surprise surprise im here using the internet right now? Blocked number being able to contact us again.
I started advertising company details in internet and I believe that s how they found me. Called and offered me to be at the top of Google search results with most competitive keywords in our business for a fixed amount of ?99, plus a one-off activation fee of just ?10 including VAT. Can hear a busy call centre environment in the background. Pushy sales and I believe it s a scam as most competitive keywords in our industry cost around ?8-10 per click.
