Just done some business with Reed Rains so this looks like another example of passing (or selling on) personal data. The Consumers Association (Which) are currently running a program to identify and stop these sort of calls. I ll add this one to their list

Phoned my mobile. I phoned them back. Call came from a company called Fast Claim. Foreiegn sounding gentleman answered and said they d phoned re an accident I had. I asked them how could they know I had had an accident when they didn t even know who was calling them at this moment (hadn t given my name!). They hung up on me! Are very polite and asking questions about moving to Canada, after that the ask you to pay 279 US Dollars. When I ask for a confirmation by e-mail before I pay. They don't want to send an e-mail. And you have to pay directly.

If you speak, the line is detected as 'a voice line' and will be logged, a scammer will then call you later! They're trying to: flog you something; get you to sign up to something; indulge in a fake survey based on some government scheme and always quick to reassure you that they're not selling but simply: enquiring; surveying; etc. JUST HANG UP.

Scam indian/pakistani/bangladeshi caller pretending to sell electricity and gas. They don't know a lot about either so they are just gathering details in the hope of profiling you. Several calls today, i managed to make one last 37 mins whilst i did other things. That is 37 other calls they couldn't make. RESULT
