I called this number back today 18/4/17 and it was a recorded voice saying congratulations you have been selected to have a chance to win something or an IpadI hung up and blocked.
Brighter Homes called me today on this number offering vouchers for double glazing etc. I told them I was registered with the Telephone Preference Service, and not to call again. This company uses pressure selling techniques to sell double glazing. The company was featured on the Watchdog rogue traders program. Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as a scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. Rang me 9.00am presumably wanting to catch me unawares. Clearly automated voice saying This is E-on and then asked "are you......" giving my full name. I was then asked to press 1 on my phone which I ignored. It seems this may well be a breach of personal information from E-on and they need to be more pro active and at least show some interest that their customers are being placed at risk. This is the 3rd time I have been targeted by this scam.
