This number calls regularly asking for Mrs McGee. Always a foreign sounding voice. I think they know it s not McGee but they want to engage you in conversation? I just hang up but it is so annoying. They must be trying to sell something I suppose.

This number is unallocated; the call was from a scammer. These use spoofed numbers, originate outside the UK and are untraceable. NEVER GIVE ANY INFORMATION to these callers ...

Like the people above, person - a man on first occasion, woman second, couldn t understand what they were saying except they were going to refund PPI. Told them it sounded odd and if they give me a number I ll check it out and get back to them and they put the phone down. Second time I was told to lie about a loan I had not taken out to a different department. They knew my name and address. Not happy.

Caller claimed to be from Proficient Helpline and said that they d been informed that I had been involved in an accident that wasn t my fault. Hung up when I told them I hadn t.

A Google search suggests that the number, if genuine, belongs to a company called Steel Plus 1, based in Romford, Essex.

Suspect untrustworthy. Wanted to offer me a 3 month subscription to the magazine for ?1 an issue (cover price about ?3.50 or so). Asked for my sort code and bank account number. I was driving so said ring back - when she did, I couldn t take the call anyway.

Very dangerous they are scam folk trying to put a virus on your computer and when the virus installs the program that will encrypt all your files and your computer will be as useless as a waterproof teabag and can no longer access your computer unless you pay a ransom fee off over ?1,000 to put it right These guys are not from Microsoft !!!!!!

Apparently I ve been in a car accident that wasn t my fault... h e c k. The woman on the other end was an automated service, but a clever one - they record the woman speaking, then cut the recording to each answer/question ("hello it s emma", "My company is proficient helpline") so someone on the other end just has to play a soundboard, but it sounds like you re actually talking to a real person. Stay away from these lovely people! ! ! ! ! !

I got a text saying this number had tried to call me when I was next to the phone at the time and it hadn t rung at all. I don t trust it automatically. Also I was able to find this number online which means others also don t trust it. Therefore I don t trust it. Fed up with these sorts of calls.

Not a scam. Co-Op Bank, customer service centre. Asking if I wanted to upgrade my account - reasonable call, been meaning to anyway.

Long pause after I answered before a voice spoke. Matthew with a strong Asian accent wanted to talk about the computer or laptop at this address. I kept asking what computer and he got more and more vague the Windows computer then hung up.

They said that they were from BT and we’re asking me to give information about my BT account didn’t feel right so put them off saying I couldn’t give them the information.
