The woman on the other end was an automated service, but a clever one - they record the woman speaking, then cut the recording to each answer/question ("hello it s emma", "My company is proficient helpline") so someone on the other end just has to play a soundboard, but it sounds like you re actually talking to a real person. Just got called claiming I had been in a car accident. No I was not! Had this type of call before but from a different number about a month ago. SCAMMERS! Judging by the comments here and the fact that I have been called before by these people, the police should go after these people.

Why don't they all just go and do one?
Fraud Caller says they are from the fraud department of your credit card. They then say they are checking on a suspicious transaction which is bogus of course. They say they will block the account but only once they email you a one time pass code which they want read back to them. It’s a scam and was confirmed by the genuine fraud department once I called them.
