I have been bombarded with calls from this number for over a month now. A company calls me almost every day from India introducing themselves as PPI Reclaim. Depending on what I m doing at the time, I either just hang up, tell them I never had PPI, or ask them to stop calling. SCAM claiming to be virgin media. They tried yesterday to scam me on a different number which I have reported if u answer it and tell them u are going to ring a trusted number for virgin media. Watch how quick they hang up
Rang twice and hung up. I saw it was a premium number so did not answer. The best way to notice a scam call is when the caller asks for you by surname (which they cannot pronounce) probably because the forename is not mentioned in the records as they see them. Then scammers ALWAYS ask how you are, which is often when they try pulling up more details from the records.

Automated call claiming to be a survey. Message said, “Hello, we are conducting a survey. Press 1 if you are registered as a Democrat”. Seems suspicious, hung up. TPS Registered, and while political canvassing is excluded, this didn’t feel like a UK party call.
Oriental sounding woman called who had my full name, telling me that the UK pension rules had changed and that the call was from the Government to advise me on those changes. Asked about what kind of pensions I had. At that point I politely ended the call. seemed to be a fact finding call about me for nefarious reasons. If I want pension advice I can speak to a qualified advisor or look at a website. Sounded as if the call was scripted as she couldn t / wouldn t answer my questions.

They actively harass and do it in the full knowledge of what they are doing. Report them and their number on the ICO s website.
