Recorded voice message of a well spoken elderly gentlemen saying the call was from National Crime Agency, my national insurance number is linked to multiple crimes and I should press 1 to speak to an officer immediately. Clearly a bogus call, I doubt the National Crime Agency would ring from a mobile number. No idea what they are up to but nothing legal I dare say.

My partner had filled out some online surveys recently which was about gaining free samples etc. This was mentioned over the call and then offered him £20 worth of petrol or diesel vouchers, but would need his bank details over the phone to pay for postage. My partner was chatted to the person right up until this point... then stated with all due respect, as much as I would love the vouchers, I never have or will give my bank details out

Got a call on my mobile to say that my name has been associated with a tax fraud. This is a false allegation. Call asked me to press '1' to talk to HMRC. Naturally I hung up the call immediately.

SCAM - Answered the call. Automated message advising my National Insurance number was involved in fraud. My assets are to be frozen and I will be arrested. Press 1 to speak an officer (This is the only option offered) I ended call before pressing any digits.
I spoke to George at Insure me online. He was actually very professional, and it was to do with a life insurance enquiry that I made online. I did tell him about me Googling his number as I didn t recognise it, and we had a bit a joke about why I would spend my time searching for his number, when it s so much easier to just pick up the phone. ...anyway, he seemed like a nice chap, so my advice to anyone else is just to pick up the phone and see what he has to say.
Claimed to be from BT Connect and wanted to "save us money". Wanted to know who we were with for telecomms, told them TalkTalk as they were much friendlier & responsive than BT (true). "Amy" was VERY insistent that she "come round and talk to us about saving money on our telecomms". Obviously we firmly refused, said goodby and put the phone down with her saying "but..but". Pest!

Indian lady started telling me I had a problem with Windows. I told her that she was unscrupulous and I considered that her actions were those of the scum of the planet. I blocked the number using my CPR Callblocker gadget (there are many alternatives). I pay for my phone, it s for me, what gives anyone other than me the right to use it to harass me? Informed that i had been involve d in a car accident, when i stated that this was not so she put the phone down, she had stated that she was phoning from a company but because of her acsent i did not get the name. On returning the call i am informed that it is not a recognisable number.
