This number rang at 10.20 on17.9.19, said they were from British Telecom and would be stopping my internet connection straight away unless I spoke to another person on line one, this is a common SCAM and the moment you connect by pressing one your phone bill will rocket. Since getting new sim this number has called at least twice a day every day including sundays. Glad I ignored it as the first few calls only my children had my number so it was not anyone or business I knew. Cannot belive they can do this for over 2 months everyday when ddo they get the message. Now blocked the number so no more annoying calls at work

PPI/Bank Charges claim company. Latest one is Endowment Policies. Aside from just hanging up, I find the best course of action with these guys is to just lie to them. Give them made-up details so they waste their time with fruitless nonsense. Tell them you paid PPI on a Swiss bank account with ?10m in funds given to you by a Nigerian prince. Keep calm and tell absurd lies, and this kind of call actually starts to be a lot of fun!

the caller(female Indian) rang asking what washing machine I used. I put the phone down. The phone range again a while later but I did not answer it, the it rang again. This time an Indian male asked what washing machine I used. I told him I did not take cold calls and put the phone down.
