Don t very often speak to cold callers but did today and was told it was a government backed scheme to replace old windows with new at discounted prices. I told the guy I was not interested at the moment, he said if I had a quote now I could keep that quote until I needed to replace my existing windows. I agreed for somebody to come and measure the windows on condition they measured and left, he jokingly (I thought) told me they would not be staying for tea and biscuits. 2nd call to landline in 10 days (1st differed by last 2 digits -15). I answer, it beeps then silence (same both times). Local area dialling code but that's no proof of locality these days. Unknown if scam but known as nuisance at any rate.

SCAM Claims to be from O2 and sends texts messages during the call requesting that you tell the caller the code that is in the message for a 40% discount. An obvious scam, reported to NCSC and O2 as it looks like they’re trying to scam users into giving O2 account passcodes which is fraud. Kept her talking long enough for her to become quite rude and call me a liar, I’m not even with O2 so not sure why they’d target me, certainly not an O2 employee anyway.
