Safe number - a call from IT provider for the company I'm working with.
Genuine call from Halifax fraud prevention. They noticed someone in USA somehow used my card for a very small amount £4.24 (apparently they do this to see if it s accepted) They have cancelled my card and are sending a new one straight away. Excellent service from Halifax

This number along with different 4 digit extension numbers on the end can call me up to 3 times a day. I finally answered one of them to tell them to stop ringing but it is automated and they dont say who they are. I ended the call as they ask you to press a number to proceed but I daren t!

Scam from asian sounding male suposedly working for Virgin Media and claiming that my router was faulty. After getting me to jump through some hoops, told me that I would be getting a new router and £204.56 in compensation. Fraud - Claimed to be Tesco Bank and had some old information. Claimed attempts had been made to spend money and start a direct debit on my credit card. Asked them to call back later, meanwhile I called the bank and checked. All lies.
