SCAM / SPAM Washing machine insurance scam. Phishing with incomplete or incorrect information, and hinted that their details differ from mine because I've recorded them incorrectly. Lots of supposedly tempting discounts, and lots of glib excuses for the differences or lack of information.

Silvershine Services. 4 calls in 48 hrs all from Leicester based numbers. Call starts off with an automated voice asking about accident details. After answering yes and giving brief details, I am put through to a human being. Despite telling them on NUMEROUS occasions now that I DO NOT wish to receive these call, they still persist. Asking them to remove your number just results in the person you re speaking to ending the call. Reported to ICO

Scammer - Says they are BT openreach, then proceeds to say there is a problem with the router and you need to give them details to fix it. When I said I don't have BT services, the guy said "I know, BT is the only distributer over the country!" Really? Perhaps they need to do their homework. SCAM We have had 4 calls today supposedly from Amazon Prime, all from different numbers, but with 0153 dialing code. Recorded female voice. Something about being charged £79.99, and pressing 1 to speak to a service manager. We don't have Amazon Prime. 01538320737 We are ex directory, and with TPS.
Said they were from EE asking about how happy I am with my PAYG plan and handset and if they could improve it. Asked what handset I had and why I was content with my pack then let me go happily. Seems trustworthy and didn t ask for any other info.
