Had a call from a guy today asking me about the accident I have had recently. My answer was " *sigh* I have never had an accident" He very quickly hung up on me
Keeps calling every day (often multiple times a day) and leaving silent voicemail messages which I have to pay to access. Have now sent this number to my reject list but expect more from a reputable company like the AA.
SCAM / SPAM - Tom from the UK Advisory Innovations Group called saying the loft insulation we've recently had installed has been found to cause condensation & mould problems and offering a free survey. Would not tell me what they wanted, they said it was in regards to a debt but would not let me continue the call without giving them my full address which I refused obviously. Would not tell me the nature of the debt either.

Hal s reply is spot on. If someone sends a text message to your landline and you don t pick up the phone it gets stored for you to retrieve later. This 0795 number is where you collect the message, plus the number of the mobile phone that sent the text. It s not dangerous. All depends on what the text message says, of course - that could be anything. In my case it was someone texting to say Sorry I Missed Your Call. See? Not dangerous.

Recorded voice, say that they are from talktalk and they are going to cut off broadband. I have had many of these crap calls, sometimes multiple per day.

Called them back loads of times this morning (using 141 prefix) to ask if they would like to make a PPI claim, buy double glazing, have their PC virus fixed.
Phoned to tell me my washing machine warranty has expired and they're sending me the new paperwork by Royal Mail. Read out to me my name and address and when I confirmed these was going to pass me to her "supervisor" to complete a form. Asked her to tell me what brand of washing machine I've actually got. Unsurprisingly she hung up. Don't know what the scam was going to be but clearly there is one
