Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. Received a call from someone with heavy asian accent claiming to be called Neil. Informed me that the monthly maintenance fee for my TV was to be reduced next month & wanted to confirm bank details. I do not have TV maintenance contract so told him so and hung up. SCAM!!!!!!!!
Was called at 4.15pm on Sunday and a message was left that consisted of a full 5 minutes exactly of white noise.

Incoming call. "This is HMRC. Fraud has been committed in your name. Press 1 to be connected. If you do not, you will be arrested shortly" or words to that effect. If you don't press 1, nothing happens and then you get cut off. This seems like a fraudsters way of weeding out the less gullible who will merely waste their time challenging their BS.

another annoying call from number I don t recognise, so I don t answer. I get at least 3 calls per day from numbers I don t know. I have a way of blocking these calls, ( which I have had to pay for)but as soon as I do that, another one pops up. I would be very happy to know that "somebody" out there is working to deal with this.I know from reading comments and talking to friends that just about everyone is affected, and that I m not the only person to be maddened by these calls.

Keep getting called by this number and I am ex-directory and never give my home number to anyone. I do not answer this number and they have never left a message. H ever they call at any time on any day of the week repeatedly. I wish there was a way to make them stop.
