An Indian lady saying she us calling from BT about my Landline & internet connection . Then tries to confirm my name by saying my fathers name { passed away nearly four years ago } . Fraud, It is a computer message saying you are being investigated for tax fraud and a warrant issued. Press _ etc. Do not respond to the fraudster. Warrants are not issued over the phone and HMRC will write you if they have any queries.
On second reading - definitely - it is one digit short to be a genuine UK number.
Found this number on my answering machine, no message. It is the Glasgow branch of the Co-Operative Bank, but remember that caller ID can be faked, so I'd suggest not givi...

I have had 6+ calls from this number to my mobile, some dropping out immediately, but they appear to be pursuing hearing loss claims. I have asked for my number to be removed on several occisions, but so far with no apparent success.
