The calls start anytime from 21.00 and continue throughout the night! It s a fax machine which is very annoying to say the least. Any ideas how to get rid of it without turning the phone off as I sometimes need to use it overnight?

A number used by capita investment, they also call from a witheld number. The company seems to be based in 3rd Avenue, New York, NY 10022 and there calls are about a documented takeover scam where they say a 3rd party wants to buy your worthless penny shares and need a bond. This is where they ask for money.

Scam. I use to work for vodafone, and the first thing i asked after he started talking was " who is your line manager?" "And what system am i on". He freaked out and try come back but not a chance. As for the question providing you managers name should be a problem, unless you are a scammer and it takes you 5-6 seconds to invent a name, secondly vodafone has 2 systems that are being used in the company and it s a very simple to answer this question for a vodafone person. Missed call with no message. Suspected it was untrustworthy so I called it back (using 141) and the number is dead.

Was an automated voice mail saying it was HMRC and I had an outstanding tax bill, if I don’t pay there would be warrant out for my arrest.

Loads of calls no message ever left. tried to phone it back today and kept getting a message saying I was in queue position 1., didn t hold on for too long - is it just a premium rate dialler?

Tried calling them back, went through to someone who obviously wasn't expecting calls in to them, sounded like a call centre. They hung up and didn't talk to me.

Have called a number of times but n ever leave a message.

Have had several calls from this number - 01618500044 - they say they are a company called RECLAIM FINANCE. I have never taken out finance so cannot be owed any compensation?! When I,ve got a free minute I bombard these parasites with dead calls by withholding my own number see how these oiks like it! Everyone should do the same when they can spare a minut, see how they like it.

I've had many calls of this sort, sometimes several in one day. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they hang up. I am on a call preference service but they still get through....

Caller says he can appeal our business rates and save money. Howver a google search shows Melville consulting is a scam operator that lodges the appeal online, which anybody csn do, thrn charges £700 after which they do nothing. Same phone number also brlobgs to Webster and Long. Avoid. In most cases there is no chance of rates reduction. Its easy to check on .gov site the rates details for your property.
